When your roof in Walled Lake starts leaking after one of Michigan’s 70-mph storm gusts, you don’t want to wait three weeks for an out-of-area contractor to swing by. Walled Lake is about 22 miles west-northwest of our shop at 14564 Schaefer Hwy in Detroit — roughly 30 minutes via M-10 north to I-696 west, then M-5 and the Haggerty connector to West Maple. We cover the whole Metro Detroit area, and we’re one of the established roofing companies you can call when something happens to your roof tonight.
For 20+ years we’ve been replacing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial roofs across Metro Detroit. We’re veteran-owned and family-run. The crew that quotes your roof is the crew you’ll see on it. And if you get a written quote from another licensed roofer in the Walled Lake area, we’ll beat it — guaranteed.
Walled Lake is a compact city — about two and a third square miles wrapped around the northeast shore of its 670-acre all-sports lake — and that density defines the work. Only about 40 percent of housing here is single-family detached; the rest is townhomes, condos and apartment buildings, so a large share of our Walled Lake jobs are association roofs where we’re coordinating multiple buildings, a board and a shared staging area. On the detached side, the dominant eras are the 1970s through the 1990s, backed by a solid layer of 1950s postwar ranches and bungalows, and a smaller pocket of pre-war lakefront cottage stock along East Lake Drive and the South Lake Drive blocks. Those lakeside houses have been added onto repeatedly — enclosed porches, shed dormers, tacked-on garages — leaving irregular roof planes and valleys that dump onto lower additions. Lots are tight with short setbacks, so we plan the dumpster drop and cleanup route before the first shingle comes off. Most of the 1970s and 80s ranches and colonials here are now on their third roof.
We work on these exact homes every week:
If your home is in the 48390 ZIP code, there’s a good chance we’ve already done a roof on your block.
Southeast Michigan storm seasons are getting more aggressive. Most seasons bring at least one round of 60 to 70 mph wind gusts and hail across the area. Wind lifts and tears shingles. Hail leaves invisible bruises that turn into leaks two storms later. Then ice dams in February finish the job.
When you call after a storm, we’ll:
We’ve been doing storm response across Metro Detroit long enough that local insurance adjusters know our work.
All work comes with our 10-year labor warranty on top of the manufacturer’s shingle warranty.
We work across all of Walled Lake, with most of our recent jobs concentrated in or around:
We also work near landmarks like Pavilion Shore Park at 13 Mile and Southlake Drive — the site of the old Walled Lake Amusement Park, which ran from 1929 until 1968 — Riley Park downtown with the relocated 1833 Foster Farmhouse, Hiram Sims Memorial Park, and Mercer Beach on the lake. Walled Lake is served by the Walled Lake Consolidated School District, which is headquartered in the city on Ladd Road; Walled Lake Elementary and Mary Helen Guest Elementary are inside city limits, while students attend Walled Lake Western or Walled Lake Central high schools in neighboring Commerce Township. School families across the district make up a big share of our local customer base.
We also serve the adjacent communities of Commerce Township, Novi, Wixom and Wolverine Lake — so if friends or family nearby need roof work, you can refer with confidence.
